Hello everyone! We're new to this BLOGGING thing so please bear with us as we get our blog legs steady. Today in Fort Lauderdale it's absolutely beautiful. Beautiful, but HOT! It is summer, after all. We live in an apartment, within a marina, not too very far from Fort Lauderdale beach.
We've often heard tourists to our great city say that they would be at the beach every single minute if they lived here. We even said that once a few years back. And, as cool as that sounds, it's just not realistic. The reality being that we have to go to work just like you do when you're at home. BUT we do have THE WEEKENDS!!!!!!!!!!! WOOHOO!!!!! What a great time to ride our motorcycles around South Florida, checking out the sights, sounds, and delicious foods. Please be aware of all the motorcycles on the road whether you live here or are just visiting. Trust me when I say this, we'll watch out for you, too.
The first restaurant we'd like to suggest that you try, and please keep in mind that we do not know anyone that is an owner or employee, and we are not receiving anything, not even a thank you, for suggesting that you try them. With that said, Lulu's Bait Shack right across the street from the beach. The staff are friendly and courteous, you can sit on the balcony and watch the Ocean and feel the salty breeze, and if you're like me, you can people watch. They have my very favorite, fried catfish, cooked exactly right. Lulu's has a full bar for those of you old enough to enjoy some tasty colorful frozen drinks with their meal. If you're not thrilled with the fried catfish idea, Lulu's has a good menu to choose from and I'm sure you'll find something you like, as much I like the catfish. If you'd like a more detailed description, I'll happily go back to Lulu's Bait Shack and make a more current report.
Thank you again for reading our first blog. Please come back to see us, soon. If you want to know something specific about the area, just ask...we'll try to get the answer for you.
